WHO IS ALLEN WATSON
How about a Two-Time World Series Champion with the New York Yankees. Do I have your attention yet? Well, I'm going to make this short and sweet. I don't waste time, because time is money.
My name is Allen Watson and I was picked by the St. Louis Cardinals in the first round of the 1991 amateur entry draft. I spent the next two years in the Cardinals' minor league system, making my major league debut on July 8, 1993.
In 1995, I was traded to the San Francisco Giants. At the end of the 1996 season I was traded by the Giants to the Anaheim Angels. I pitched with the Angels in 1997-1998, obtaining a career high twelve wins as a starting pitcher in 1997.
In January of 1999 I signed as a Free Agent with the New York Mets and was subsequently traded to the Seattle Mariners in June. On July 3, 1999 I signed as a Free Agent with the New York Yankees and stayed with them through the 1999 and 2000 seasons, winning two World Series Championships, and then retiring after the 2000 season.
Now, I did not just show up today and figure I'd start picking games for a living; I have been analyzing games my entire life. As a starting pitcher in the big leagues, I had to analyze every aspect of the game every day of my career.
How do teams act in certain situations? How does the ball carry in a certain ballpark? How do certain teams do against certain lefties or righties? All questions that I have first hand knowledge of.
Now, baseball is obviously my forte, but not my only strength. If you can find a better college football analyst than me, you would have to show him to me, because as far as I’m concerned he doesn’t exist.
I could have gone anywhere to release my opinion to the world but after meeting with Eddie, Bobby and this company, and seeing what the potential was, the rest will be history making.
I am a real athlete with real in-game experience. Like Eddie always says “I played the game, your advantage lies here”. However, more important than being real is the fact that I am also the right guy to advise you which way you play the big games.
